Washington County emergency officials issued a shelter-in-place order for areas near the Loveland Chemical plant after a fire. Residents were told to stay indoors, close windows and doors, and turn off systems that bring in outside air.

Greenville officials and community partners held a fire safety awareness event at the Buster Brown Center. The event included safety education and opportunities to sign up for free smoke detectors.
